Biography
Locass started drawing at a very young age by replicating panels from Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Tintin. Drawn to the arts since elementary school, he viewed drawing as a hobby, often doodling in the margins of his notebooks until high school. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for cinema, thanks to the inspiring teaching of his professors. In 2016, he naturally pursued audiovisual studies at Bordeaux Montaigne University.
He worked on various amateur shoots and participated in the Cannes Film Festival for the Critics’ Week. However, he was disappointed with the environment of the film industry. After obtaining his degree, he joined the Human Academy in Angoulême in 2019 to reconnect with drawing, aiming to tell his stories in a different way than through cinema. Locass achieved rapid success, signing a publishing contract with Kana after winning the 104th Shinman Contest organized by Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2022 for his graduation project. He is currently collaborating with writer Maxime Truc on “ODR,” a short series planned in two volumes, set to be released in October 2025 by Kana. He also teaches at Human Academy, helping students with their projects.
