Freckles and Me

Lena doesn’t get along very well with her classmates, and to make things worse, she’s being bullied at school. Luckily, at home she has a friend waiting for her, one she calls “way too cool”: a young female Deinonychus.
Her father, a scientist at a genetic research lab, secretly stole a dinosaur egg, hoping to make a fortune by selling the hatchling once it was born.
But as Lena and Freckles — the name she gives the creature — grow closer, the fragile balance within the family begins to fracture.
