Biography
Massimo Dall’Oglio was born in Cagliari in 1973. For over 18 years, he has collaborated with publishers in Italy, France, the United States, and Japan. In 2018, he took part in a masterclass in Japan organized by the publisher Coamix.
He currently works as an illustrator for Sergio Bonelli Editore on the Dragonero series, and as an editor for the international manga division at Agenzia Tomatofarm.
Since 2023, he has been a mangaka for the Japanese publisher Kodansha, under the pseudonym Hagane, with the series Kraken Mare, written by Guillaume Dorison and serialized in the seinen magazine Monthly Afternoon—recently also published in France.
Adriano Barone, novelist and screenwriter for comics and animation, won the Judge Award at Silent Manga Audition 7 and the Excellence Award at Silent Manga Audition 8 in Japan, under the pseudonym Hagane Ishi, as part of a creative team with Massimo Dall’Oglio.
