Nico Hitori De
Biography
Nicolas Hitori De is a comic book author and illustrator. After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he continued his training at the Disney Academy in Milan before settling in Portland, USA. There, he collaborated with Joelle Jones and Jamie S. Rich on the series Spell Checkers (Oni Press).
Back in France, he illustrated Mia & Co (Dargaud), written by Vanyda, then Monstres 13 (Albin Michel Jeunesse), written by Fabrice Colin. Alongside his albums, he creates illustrations and covers for the American comics industry, notably for Rick and Morty at Oni Press.
His graphic universe, influenced by European, American, and Japanese styles, favors expressive drawing and energetic storytelling. He lives and works in Amiens.
