Biography
Nicol Álvarez, born on July 8, 1994, in the city of Santiago, Chile. Her artistic training has been mainly self-taught. She made her first online publication in 2021, a one-shot titled “Humanity”. The following year, she published a second one-shot, “La Estación Abonada”, both works available on the MangaPlus Creators platform.
In 2022, she was a finalist in the Norma Editorial manga contest with her work “Seres” (which ultimately did not win). In 2023, she published the first physical volume of Seres with the Chilean publisher Visuales. In 2024, she released the second volume of Seres in Chile and was also the winner of the 2024 Norma Editorial manga contest with her work “Cuando florece la higuera” (When the Fig Tree Blooms), a manga she is currently working on for publication as a standalone volume.
